If you're a gearhead, this might just be your favorite magazine, especially if you yearn for a more substantive and technical approach to automotive journalism.

This month, for instance, there is an article called "2015 engines ride a technology tidal wave." This article is awesome, it gets way into detail about Toyota's new turbocharged part Otto/part Atkinson cycle engines and their new Otto-Atkinson 5 liter V8 for the Lexus RC-F. The article discusses hew roller bearing camshafts used in Jaguar Land Rover engines....the impacts of higher compression ratios on torque curve and driveability. The Article even gets pretty intimate with Ford's new 2.7 l V6. And last, but not least...AUDI is going to introduce and ELECTRIC TURBO IN 2015!

There is also another article about Automotive impacts Graphene (single atom thick sheets of carbon chains). It's all really good stuff if you love the technical side of the automotive industry.

Here's a screen shot of what a typical article looks like.

I think the digital subscription is even free. I haven't been a member of SAE for years and I haven't had to pay for the subscription either. So, get on board!

I have read couple issues of this magazine. Its good but currently I don't any source to read it.

If you can understand German the ATZ (Automobiltechnische Zeitschrift) and MTZ (Motortechnische Zeitschrift) are probably the best automotive magazines available. Both have English versions too but they are a lot shorter than the original ones but still quite good.
